Since Star Wars Celebration Orlando is a celebration of all things Star Wars, we knew games would be a part of that, but today on The Star Wars Show, it was officially confirmed. EA Games, who has the second Battlefront (with campaign!), an untitled game from an all-star game development team, plus the ongoing MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, will be in attendance at the show, presumably splitting time between their expansive booth and panel rooms. At Celebration Europe in London last year, they came with a panel that nearly filled the main hall to show off little snippets of what’s to come, but this year they should have much more to talk about.

EA will “showcase their latest games” at the show, and bring playable mobile games like Star Wars Force Collection, Star Wars Pinball, and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes to the show floor. There will also be a Star Wars: The Old Republic Cantina event offsite-from the show itself. The team at BioWare will host fans to hang out, show off the latest features of The Old Republic, and give fans facetime directly with the talented developers that bring a the galaxy far, far away from even a longer time ago to life.

As for announcements, well, the aforementioned games in development, plus one from the developer of Titanfall, are all known, but little is known about them. Celebration Orlando’s April convention dates make it about two months ahead of E3, the annual video game convention (where EA now hosts their own side show across the street), so we might not get every announcement we’re hoping for, like titles and characters and eras and gameplay style and – and – yeah, we really don’t know a ton about these games yet. But with Amy Hennig and Todd Stashwick making a friggin’ Star Wars game is there much more you need to know to be excited?

Star Wars Celebration Orlando takes place April 13-16 in Orlando, FL. Ticketing and full guest and panel details are at StarWarsCelebration.com.
