Power Rangers is currently enjoying a 3.59 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings, and the studio is continuing the momentum with some of the more action-oriented footage, including the big Puttie fight. Granted, the Putties look a bit different here without all the snazzy CG work, and some would say they look much less threatening when cloaked in all neon green jumpsuits.
Zordon actor Bryan Cranston talks envisioning the franchise for a new audience, saying “The difference between the series of Power Rangers and the movie is significant. We had to pay homage to it and yet reinvent a new way of expressing itself” Rita Repulsa actress Elizabeth Banks seconds that notion, saying “This movie’s really incredible, and there a lot of nods to all the big mythology from the series, and the action is amazing.”
Power Rangers is a series that Blue Ranger RJ Cyler always wanted to be a part of, saying “I use to dream about being a Power Ranger. I’ve been practicing the last 18 years ya know! That adrenaline push that Power Rangers gives you is in this movie 10 fold.”
You can view the full clip above, and the synopsis for the film is featured below.
