After season three, the crew we came to know and love over the past three seasons splintered as one of the main characters, Daisy “Quake” Johnson (Chloe Bennet) found herself on the lamb from the law.
Without giving too much away, season four sees SHIELD transformed into a legitimate organization once more so the crew no longer had to operate in the shadows.
It was also the first season of the show to feature three distinct “pods,” or distinctly separate story arcs within the show. Revealed at last season’s San Diego Comic-Con, the season starts off featuring the Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) version of Ghost Rider before the show switches to focus on Life Model Decoys and a Matrix-like reality known as the Framework.
