While many go to see superhero movies for the characters and cast, members of a film’s crew have started become a draw in their own right.

The cinematographer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Larry Fong, is no exception, with some fans eagerly supporting any projects he is attached to. Fong – who has also worked on films such as Super 8, Kong: Skull Island, and the upcoming The Predator – decided to joke about that newfound notoriety on Twitter, with some pretty hilarious results.
After one fan promised to watch any movie the cinematographer works on, Fong jokingly announced that he would be collaborating on a reboot of the popular children’s television series Teletubbies.
Awesome, cuz Iโm doing the Teletubbies reboot https://t.co/WYIclOURTZ

What followed was a rather amusing exchange with fans, with some suggesting that BvS and Justice League director and frequent Fong collaborator Zack Snyder join the project. This culminated in Fong sharing early Teletubbies “test footage”, featuring the colorful characters in a rather dark color palette.

While it’s safe to say that no one is expecting the cinematographer to actually take on the project, his tweets do provide a bit of amusement, as well as a bit of a comeback at those who have criticized the DCEU’s grittiness.
