If you haven’t swung by your local theater to check out Spider-Man: Homecoming, then you better head on over. The latest Marvel marks Peter Parker’s first standalone venture into the MCU, and it is loaded with several surprising easter eggs. Now, Kevin Feige is addressing one of them and revealing whether it means Miles Morales will appear in the MCU.

Speaking with IGN, the president of Marvel Studios took time to chat about Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s homages. It was during that interview Feige got asked if Miles will appear in the MCU, but the producer didn’t seen 100% sure such a debut would ever happen.

“Just like we referenced Dr. Stephen Strange in The Winter Soldier, we wanted to give that homage that he’s out there in the MCU somewhere,” Feige hedged.

“If and when we see him, I don’t know.”

Miles was referenced in Spider-Man: Homecoming in a rather roundabout way. Fans caught on to the nod after Donald Glover’s character Aaron Davis appeared in the film. The criminal is known as the Prowler in the comics, and Aaron is the uncle of Miles. During an encounter with Spider-Man, Aaron tells Peter that he has a nephew, and Marvel fanatics were quick to be two and two together.

For those of you unfamiliar with Miles, then you do have a bit to catch up on. The character was created in August 2011, and Miles is one of several heroes to operate under the name Spider-Man. Birthed in the Ultimate Universe, Miles quickly became a fan-favorite iteration of Spider-Man thanks to his diverse background and grounded storylines. As of late, Miles has merged within the mainstream Marvel-616 following the last ‘Secret Wars’ storyline where he oversees New York while Peter Parker becomes the friendly global Spider-Man.
