If Marvel didn’t have enough going on heading into San Diego Comic-Con with big movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, there’s also the matter of Marvel’s Inhumans TV series, which will get what is perhaps the most ambitious promotional launch in the history of television.

Inhumans is definitely expected to make a big splash at Comic-Con 2017 – especially since it is the next Marvel Studios project to hit screens, with a premiere in IMAX theaters late this summer, and a traditional TV series launch this September.
In order to start hyping Inhumans, Marvel TV has released some new character posters, highlighting the main trio of the Inhuman Royal Family: King Black Bolt, his Queen Medusa, and Black Bolt’s devious brother, Maximus.
Check out the new character posters for Marvel’s Inhumans, below!
Black Bolt
The King of the Inhumans is played byย Hell On Wheelsย actor Anson Mount, who will stick to comic book canon by playing the regal character mute (though, without his signature mask).ย
This poster is just one example of the work that Anson’s facial muscles will be doing to give fans a Black Bolt they know and love.ย
Medusa
Black Bolt’s queen has become a prominent figure in Marvel Comics these days, and with good reason! Mixing regal grace with some fearsome (and frankly, creepy) power, Medusa is a queen unlike any other.ย
Actress Serinda Swan is starting off from an uphill battle, as Marvel fans are already critical of the visual effects and design of her signature “living hair.” However, if the character and performance is good enough, the visuals can always been improved in subsequent episodes.
Maximus
The most interesting and compelling of theย Inhumansย Royal Family (besides Black Bolt) is his brother, Maximus. Likeย Othello‘s Iago, Maximusย is a brilliant yet insidious character, who plots to overthrow his brother, the king.ย
Fans have been excited to see Maximusย potrayed byย Game of Thronesย fan-favorite villain Ramsay Bolton – aka actor Iwan Rheon. If every story needs a good villain to be successful, thenย Marvel’sย Inhumansย will be a hit with its version of Maximus.
