In the past, Christopher Nolan has denied that he will have any involvement in a Justice League movie. Back in July, Nolan told the New York Daily News, "I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any 'Justice League' project." However, when Playlist asked Christopher Nolan about a Justice League movie, while he was promoting The Dark Knight Rises release on DVD and Bluray, his answer was somewhat different. Nolan said, "Well, as I've said, and I'll say definitively again, I am done with the Batman films, the trilogy is completed. It ended in the manner we had envisioned." As Playlist notes, Nolan appears to be talking around the question. Even though Batman is a member of the Justice League, the movie would be a superhero team movie and not a Batman movie. And while Nolan considers his Batman trilogy complete, the Justice League will likely star a new actor as Batman, so it could be done without affecting Nolan's Batman trilogy. Of course, Nolan's answer is hardly an indication that he will do the film, but it's interesting that he chose to answer in the way he did. While it's probably unlikely Nolan will direct a Justice League movie, a producer role would seem to make a lot of sense for him, considering he is a producer on Man of Steel. In regards to Man of Steel, Christopher Nolan also noted that the movie will not be as similar to his Batman trilogy as some people might be thinking. He indicates that it is very much Zack Snyder's take on the character. Nolan says, "Superman is the biggest comic book character of them all and he needs the biggest possible movie version which is what Zack's doing. It's really something."
