Undertow’s Steve Orlando On His Alien, Frightening Take on Atlantis

, writer Steve Orlando and artist Artyom Trakahanov’s upcoming series about a band of Atlantean refugees seeking  shelter from corruption and consumerism by heading to the surface world in a massive ship, has its final order cut-off on Tuesday ahead of the first issue’s release on February 19.Recently, we spoke with Orlando about the series, and about reinventing Atlantis for comics, changing it from a place where people happily ride sea horses to one that’s a bit grotesque and alien–more like the real undersea world.We brought you the first part of the conversation not long ago, and here’s the second.
