Capcom’s Street Fighter V keeps inching towards the complete product that it was always meant to be, and June’s big update brings another significant serving of content.

The most important piece of the update is the new cinematic story mode, subtitled ‘A Shadow Falls” (via Capcom Unity). Fans have been anxiously waiting for this single player experience, which after all is said and done will total out at about 3 to 4 hours. The campaign is seated between Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III, and will actually include all six of the upcoming DLC characters.
Some of those won’t be released in full until later, but you can get some time with them before they release in this mode. In addition to the new single player experience, the update will also officially bring fan favorite Ibuki to the roster, which is also part of the season pass.
Outside of the season pass, fans can also access a plethora of new costumes and stages on an ala carte basis. The content featuresnew looks for the whole cast, including Birdie’s seen better days Mario look, and F.A.N.G’s emo Matrix villain duds. Zangief’s Macho Man inspired costume is just the best though, and is my favorite among the new gear.
Three new stage variations are also included, which along with the new costumes can be seen in the gallery.
