Deadline is reporting that Grint will start in a pilot for an original comic book-based drama called Imperial City. In the pilot, Grint plays Rupert (pretty apt, right?) who is the son of a comic creator of the series of the same name. The series only had nine issues, but when a collector informs him of a tenth issue, it is revealed that Imperial City is real and he’s the only one that can save it.

The pilot is written by Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta and producer Aaron Kaplan (Secrets & Lies). This is Grint’s second pilot year having shot Super Clyde for CBS.

Original comic book TV series are pretty rare these days with Heroes Reborn being the exception, do you think this could be a hit for Grint?
