In introducing the trailer, Fallon explained, “It starts with Lloyd Christmas has been in an asylum.” Carrey interjected, “Yes, he has. He’s been there for quite some time.” Fallon continues, “So he has a long beard and long hair, and he’s in a wheelchair.” Carrey interrupts, “He’s only joking.” Fallon adds, “So he’s just kidding for twenty years.”
Also, in the trailer, Carrey rips off his outfit to reveal he’s wearing a superhero costume in one scene. Of course, the last time Carrey appeared in a superhero costume was when he played Colonel Stars and Stripes in Kick-Ass 2, which is a movie he refused to promote after he made it.
Twenty years after their last adventure, good-hearted yet dimwitted best friends Harry and Lloyd head out in search for one of their long lost children in the hope of gaining a new kidney.
Dumb and Dumber To is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on November 14, 2014.
