Another Sunday night has come and gone and we still don’t know if Glenn is under the dumpster, on the roof, covered in guts, or torn to pieces.
Though Maggie and Aaron ventured beyond the limits of Alexandria’s walls, they ultimately turned back when Maggie cracked and told Aaron she was pregnant upon reaching the back side of the walker horde.
That doesn’t mean Maggie has given up on Glenn. Speaking to Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron on AMC’s hit zombie show, we asked him why exactly Aaron and Maggie are wiping the names off of those walls. Do they still have hope for Glenn and Nicholas? “I think, truthfully, they’re the type of people who are optimists,” Marquand said. “They’re very pragmatic but they’re also the type of people that say, ‘Listen, let’s not rule out hope until there’s legitimate proof that someone is dead or something is over.’ They want to believe that these two people are very much still out there and they’re not gonna just give up because the general theory is that they’ve past.”
When it comes to the mystery surrounding Glenn’s fate, the answer is, “Right around the corner,” Marquand says. “The showrunner and the writers are not planning on keeping the audience in suspense the entire season.”
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
