The Secret Wars mini-series struck a chord with X-fans, and now the group is getting its own ongoing series. After the team gets the newly reopened Xavier’s School for Gifted Children up and running, they already have Omega Red and his Soviet Soldiers at their door trying to tear it down.
For me, the animated series is why I became an X-Men fan, and there is a part of me that loves having a book set outside of current events of the Marvel Now side of things. Sure it is based heavily on nostalgia, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. You can catch a preview of the book below, as well as the accompanying variant covers available at launch.
