After narrowly beating out The Walking Dead in last year’s Hulu Best in Show competition, Community is set to go to the finals again, barring a last-minute surge by the BBC series Sherlock. On the other side of the bracket, Game of Thrones is hanging onto a tidy lead over Breaking Bad, setting up another genre-friendly head-to-head for the title.Community rolled through The Walking Dead in the first round this year, beating out the hit AMC drama by a much wider margin than it did last year in the finals. Why they were paired up in the first round isn’t clear; maybe ratings? If you set it up like March Madness, one assumes that there would be SOMETHING–but not much–with lower ratings than Community, while The Walking Dead would be the overall #1 seed. After The Walking Dead, they beat Glee by a massive margin, and then on to The New Girl. Presently, it’s beating Sherlock by a 52% to 48% margin.Game of Thrones beheaded Doctor Who, Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family on its way to taking a ten-point lead on Breaking Bad.You can check out, and vote in, the contest here.
