Coming in November, just as the holiday frenzy kicks into high gear, iconic comics writer Grant Morrison will reinvent the legend of Santa Claus in Klaus, a new series from BOOM! Studios and artist Dan Mora.

According to the publisher, Klaus is an all-ages fantasy epic starring one of the most well-known figures in the world, re-created for an audience raised on superheroes.
BOOM! says that Klaus is “the story of how Santa Claus really began, drawing on his wilder roots in Viking lore and Siberian shamanism: What was he like when he was young? Why does he do what he does? And what happens when he faces his greatest challenge?”
They’ve promised more details to come in the weeks ahead, so expect something to come out of July’s Comic Con International: San Diego, where Morrison will be in attendance.
