Veteran British actor Richard Griffiths, who appeared in all eight of the Harry Potter films as Harry’s Uncle Vernon Dursley, has passed away.The BBC announced today that the Tony Award-winning Griffiths died due to complications during heart surgery, aged 65.As a longtime veteran of stage and screen, Griffiths had appeared in a handful of films of interest to our audience, including Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo.
