Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling dropped by the set of Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them, a prequel to Harry Potter that stars Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne as eccentric magizoologist Newt Scamander.

The visit must have been extra special for the 50-year-old British novelist as Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them isn’t just based on her 2001 book, Rowling is making her screenwriting debut as well. I’m sure she feels as though her script is in good hands. David Yates is helming the film and he previously directed four Harry Potter films: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows โ€“ Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows โ€“ Part 2 (2011).

Rowling tweeted that she had a “fun” time on the set and showed off her chair and identification badge.

Eddie Redmayne (Jupiter Ascending) will play J.K. Rowling’s creation Newt Scamander, the Wizarding World’s preeminent magizoologist, who in his travels has encountered and documented a myriad of magical creatures, ultimately leading to his penning the Hogwarts School textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them will be released in 3D and IMAX on November 18, 2016.
