Kate Upton and Dakota Fanning are among the top contenders on Warner Bros.’ and director David Yates’ list for female leads in the Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beats and Where To Find Them.
For the role of Queenie, Fanning is being considered alongside Saorise Ronan, Lili Simmons, and Alison Sudol. Upton, meanwhile, is in contention for the role of Queenie’s older sister, Tina, against Katherine Waterston and Elizabeth Debicki.

According to The Wrap, each actress is slated to test for their respective roles with Eddie Redmayne, who will star as Newt Scamander.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them takes place in New York city roughly 70 years before the events of the first Harry Potter film. The story will follow Scamander, who will eventually write the textbook on magical creatures that Hogwarts students study from.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18, 2016.
