In a recent interview, Heather Langenkamp — the actress best known for appearing in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) — revealed that a new Hellraiser film is in the works, she’s appearing in it, and veteran special effects makeup artist is directing.

“I actually have an opportunity to play a small part in Hellraiser (The NEW Hellraiser).I’m so excited about it.I go next week to do the shooting,” she told Scaretissue.com.”The script is amazing and that I got the part is something that I find incredible.”
When asked who is directing it, she replied, “It’s Gary Tunnicliffe who did all the makeup for all these years. They gave him an opportunity to direct the movie.I think it’s going to be pretty outstanding.”
After that news broke, Fangoria reached out to Tunnicliffe, and he provided them with some details about the new Hellraiser movie, its title, and why Doug Bradley — the original Pinhead actor — isn’t a part of it.
“I was thrilled and excited to call Doug and let him know I was writing and directing Hellraiser: Judgement, I considered Pinhead his role and I was looking forward to working with him and bringing him back to the fans,” Tunnicliffe says. “Legally, we needed a simple non-disclosure agreement signed (very much common place now with production companies) but he immediately balked. I have no idea why, I’ve signed way more binding NDA’s than that myself, most actors and crew on productions of any size usually have to now.”
