The Zords haven’t made their official debut in a trailer yet, but fans now have their first close-up look at the Battle Zords thanks to Bandai’s upcoming toy line.

Courtesy of Power Rangers NOW, the new images spotlight Jason the Red Ranger’s Tyrannosaurus Rex, Billy the Blue Ranger’s Triceratops, Zack the Black Ranger’s Mastodon, Trini the Yellow Ranger’s Sabertooth Tiger, and Kimberly the Pink Ranger’s Pterodactyl. The designs are keeping in line with the Power Ranger suits themselves, with more alien looking features.
This is especially apparent in the Mastadon and Triceratops designs. The Triceratops Battle Zord has six legs while the Mastodon Battle Zord features eight legs. The Sabretooth Tiger and Pterodactyl designs are the most traditional, though the Pterodactyl does appear more like a slick alien jet of some sort rather than an actual creature.
You can view the new images in the gallery.
Each Battle Zord will include a 2 inch Ranger figure as well as combat centric action features like a firing Tyrannosaurs Rex battle cannon. Of course, if you purchase all of the Battle Zords you’ll then be able to form the iconic Megazord, who will stand at just about 2 feet tall.
“Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge ob being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.”
Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston (Zordon), Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa), Naomi Scott (Kimberly/Pink Ranger), David Denman (Sam Scott), Becky G. (Trini/Yellow Ranger), Sarah Grey (Amanda), RJ Cyler (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger), Emily Maddison (Rebecca), Ludi Lin (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery (Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger).
