The Fantastic Four Display Their Superpowers In New Images

The August issue of Empire magazine includes a new feature on Josh Trank’s dark-edged take on Marvel’s first superhero team the Fantastic Four.

I’m sure the article is terrific, but at this time we’re just excited to see the new images of Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch/Johnny Storm, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Miles Teller as Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards, and Jamie Bell as The Thing/Ben Grimm.

We get to see Sue generating a semi-invisible force field, The Thing being as solid as a rock, Reed standing like a boss and Johnny with one-arm on fire. Exciting!

Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
