The Walking Dead’s Gale Anne Hurd To Adapt Pendergast Novels For Television

Gale Anne Hurd and Spike TV are both expanding their scripted television horizons.

Hurd, producer of AMC’s The Walking Dead, will be adapting Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child’s best-selling book series Relic and Cabinet of Curiosities for a scripted series titled Pandergast on Spike.

The series will follow a special FBI agent, whom the show is named after, and is set in a contemporary New York City. Pendergast will invesigate a present day crime mimicking a century-old mystery which links to his own family’s dark past.

Hurd will executive produce the series with her Universal Cable Productions-based Valhalla Entertainment banner with Paramount Television co-producing. Jogn McLaughlin (Black Swan) will write and exec produce.
