Audiences are widely expecting Steven Yeun’s final episodes of The Walking Dead to be those of the current season today’s news will only back up those theories.

Yeun has signed onto an independent action thriller by the name of Mayhem.
Movies don’t necessarily indicate the end of the line for The Walking Dead cast members. Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohan have both been featured in a handful of films while recurring on the AMC series, so we’ll have to wait until 10 PM on April 3 to know whether or not Glenn’s pulse beats on.
Yeun is joined by Australian actress Samara Weaving in the Joe Lynch directed independent. Weaving is best known for her roles in Home and Away and Mystery Road and has also appeared on Ash vs Evil Dead. Lynch’s claims to fame are Holliston, Everly, and Thirsty.
Mayhem’s script, penned by Matias Caruso, tells the story of a virus capable of making people act upon their wildest impulses which infects a corporate law office in the day attorney Derek Saunders (Yeun) is framed by a co-work and wrongfully fired. He finds himself trapped in the quarantined building and is forced to savagely fight for both his job and his life.
Mayhem is set to start filming later this month in Belgrade, Serbia. The Walking Dead starts filming its seventh season in April, so an overlapping conflict is possible, but not guaranteed.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET on AMC.
