Early Thursday morning, Warner Bros. and DC released the final trailer for Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In it, we get to see the chemistry of Alfred and Bruce and how they work together, how this version of Batman combats crime–did I see him use the Rock Bottom on a goon?–and of course, finally Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in action!

This trailer truly has it all.

So, we’re going to take a quick look at the top five moments that made us want to hit that Replay button the second it was over!

Playboy Billionaire

ย

This might not be a new shot, per se, but the context has now been made clear: Bruce is actually flirting with her. One of Bruce’s biggest characteristics from the comics is that he is a the billionaire playboy; the Prince of Gotham, so it’s good to see they kept that intact.ย

There was a few hints of a Batman and Wonder Woman flirtationshipย in the DCAUย with Justice League and Justice League Unlimited and it’s curious to see if they plan on going down that route yet again.ย

Bruce certainly hasn’t met any woman like her, at least that we know of in this cinematic canon. As we saw briefly that Clark and Lois are getting closer and more intimate, could Bruce and Diana have a spark here as well?ย

That Look

Kind of says it all, doesn’t it?ย

Having only gone toe-to-toe with the likes of General Zod and every day criminals, Batman is a completely different kind of opponent. Superman looks to underestimate him in the beginning, so with Batman constructing his Bat-armor straight out of Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns, he stands more of a chance to take him down.ย

Blocking a punch catches Superman off guard and that face is part shock and a slice of fear as he realizes this guy might not be so easy to beat.ย

“I don’t think you’ve ever known a woman like me.”

ย

No, we have not!

With Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice being the motion picture debut of both Wonder Woman (and a few others), the trailer has a brief moment of her leaping into battle. We finally get to hear Gal Gadot speak as Diana and showing what she’s made of.ย

We haven’t seen a whole lot of Wonder Woman in the three trailers, but we’ve known she’d make an appearance in some way since SDCCย 2014. To see Wonder Woman charge head on into the fray is completely surreal and fans have been clamoring for more footage of her. Though it’s just the smallest of tastes here, it was so good just to get that bit.ย

Batman In Action

ย

Between the Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer Batman movies to Christian Bale donning the suit, there was a change in how Batman fought. In the first series of movies, he was more kick-oriented and flashy. With Bale, he was more direct and effective, going right for bones and having a more grounded fighting stance.ย

Ben Affleck has something more akin to a wrestler with grapples, clotheslines, suplexes, and chops. Of course he throws hard punches in the mix, but his style isn’t over the top with roundhouse kicks or anything like that; it’s focused to take out the most people possible in a given space.ย

We’ll see if he chooses a different approach when he gets into it with Superman.ย

Alfred Pennyworth: Not Just The Butler

ย

After Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons was cast as Alfred, he mentioned that his Alfred would be a completely different incarnation of the character and “didn’t have to carry any baggage from previous ones”. This definitely seems to the be case with Alfred assisting Batman with reconnaissance and battlefield piloting.ย

He still manages to maintain a sense of humor interacting with Bruce telling him “Even you got too old to die young. Not for lack of trying.”ย

Alfred has always been the father figure, but in Batman v. Superman, it looks like he’s taken a more aggressive role in making sure Bruce gets out of any ordeal alive.ย
