Little is known about the film itself, its plot, or if it will be fully animated, or a mixture animation and live action. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are said to be in talks to direct, with Steve Carrell attached in the lead role. Dan Lin and Roy Lee will serve as producers.
Likely spurred on by the success of The LEGO Movie, Warner Bros. seems to be trying to recapture the success they had when the Looney Tunes went to theaters in 1996’s Space Jam, putting the failure of 2003’s Looney Tunes: Back in Action behind them.
The studio also has a reboot of The Flintstones in the works, with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay on board as executive producers.
