The marketing for Justice League has taken an ‘on again, off again’ approach to featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman in the lineup, but a new international banner for the film definitely puts the Man of Steel front and center!

THE FLYING DEAD
It’s not hard to understand why DC and Warner Bros. are being very selective in where/how they trot out Cavills’ Superman; after all, the finale of Batman v Superman saw The Man of Steel die in the last stand against Doomsday. However, the film also ended on a shot of the dirt on Superman’s grave hovering ominously in the air, suggesting that Kal-El/Clark Kent won’t stay buried (or resting in peace) for very long.
Of course, how Superman returns is the question. A lot of fans speculate that Supes’ body was actually teleported to Apokolips at the end of Batman v Superman, and that when he returns, it could be as the evil incarnation of himself, as seen in the “Knightmare” sequence of BvS.
If that longstanding theory is true, then DC/WB definitely wouldn’t want to reveal Superman’s new look (that iconic black suit) before Justice League is in theaters, on November 17th.
