It was a big enough shock when Laurel Lance met her untimely death at the hands of Damien Darhk earlier this season, but now fans are even more confused that she seems to be amongst the living once again.

How she got that way or if she is indeed alive remains a mystery, but there will be some answers in the upcoming midseason premiere of Arrow next week. While there are a myriad of theories, executive producer Marc Guggenheim decided to offer up some vague clarification on if there are long term plans for Laurel (via EW).
“The episode ends with laying a very specific seed with a very specific game plan on our part that we hope to see come to fruition,” Guggenheim says.
That about clears it all up right? No? Yeah, didn’t think so, but he also didn’t say there isn’t a long term plan in place, so make of that what you will. The good news is fans don’t have to wait too much longer to see what that “seed” ends up being.
The official description for the midseason premiere can be found below.
OLIVER WANTS JUSTICE; FELICITY WANTS REVENGE โ Worried that Prometheus is right and he is truly a killer at heart, Oliver (Stephen Amell) looks for any ray of hope and finds it in what seems to be the miraculous return of Laurel Lance (guest star Katie Cassidy).
However, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), still reeling from Detective Malone’s murder, is bent on revenge โ she wants to stop Prometheus at any cost. While in prison, Diggle (David Ramsey) fights for his life.
Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.
