Arrow Season 5 Episode 4: Penance Sneak Preview

Is that blood on Wild Dog's hockey mask?

Tonight's episode of Arrow saw a new villain of the week with drug kingpin Derek Sampson (guest star Cody Rhodes). The new recruits are starting to find their way, however Wild Dog is still too head strong considering he decided to go after Sampson on his own.

Now that Sampson is out of the way, the big bad of Arrow Season 5 will make himself known next week in Episode 4. Tobias Church (played by Chad L. Coleman from The Walking Dead) who was badly beaten by Prometheus will wreak havoc on Star City in his efforts to unite all of he gangs under his own command and eventually take over.

Maybe Church finally made that massive weapons deal with Aerotek that was previously halted by Ragman and Oliver.

Oliver and Lyla are on a secret ops mission for Diggle, which includes illegally breaking into a military prison to set him free. That leaves the brand new members of Team Arrow behind to try to stop Church on their own - if Felicity lets them.

With Wild Dog's mostly failed performance and trust issues with Oliver we're thinking that the new recruits aren't quite ready to take on Church or any villain alone. Even though they did pull it together in tonight's final battle.

Oliver and Lyla team up on a secret mission for Diggle. Felicity finds out and disapproves of the plan and opts to stay behind. When Tobias Church launches a deadly assault against the city, Felicity must decide if she wants to send the recruits out sans the Green Arrow.
