Arrow: Stephen Amell Thinks Oliver Has Definitely Researched Kryptonite

2016 was the year of superheroes fighting other superheroes.

At the box office, there was Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War. In the comics, we had X-Men vs. Inhumans. And even though it was brief, we’re going to count the bit in The Flash‘s episode of “Invasion!” when the alien-possessed superheroes squared off with Green Arrow and The Flash.

But as 2017 rolls along and it seems like the heroes-fighting-heroes thing is largely behind us, Stephen Amell isn’t on board with everyone being pals just yet.

Talking to an audience during an Arrow panel at Wizard World New Orleans, the actor said that he believed his character has likely started putting together a dossier (a la Batman or Maxwell Lord) on how to take on the powerful superheroes around him.

“I think Oliver has definitely researched Kryptonite, for sure,” Amell said. “Like Kryptonite, and how do I take away his super-speed? I might need to waste these guys at some point, and I’m going to have to have my bag of tricks.”
