Batman has never had a problem with confidence, and that is certainly the case in the LEGO Batman movie. That is unless it involves Barbara Gordon, in which case he tends to just fall over himself trying to act nonchalant.

In the newest “First Date” TV spot, Batman is a bit flummoxed with the fiery redhead enters the room, and unfortunately for him, he mishears her as the two are talking to the press. Gordon is excited about their first day, while Batman hears “first date”, but you can’t tell Batman that he’s wrong, because Batman’s never wrong. Well, unless he is, but you won’t ever get him to admit so just stop trying already.

You can view the new spot in the video above.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble โ€“ LEGO Batman โ€“ stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

The LEGO Batman Movie is directed by Chris McKay and is written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers, with additional screenplay help from Jared Stern and John Whittington.

The LEGO Batman Movie stars Will Arnett (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Michael Cera (Robin/Dick Grayson), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred Pennyworth), Zach Galifianakis (The Joker), Jenny Slate (Harley Quinn), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl/Barbara Gordon), Billy Dee Williams (Two-Face), and Mariah Carey (Mayor McCaskill). Will Alegra, Ryan Harris, Brad Lewis, John Powers Middleton, and Zareh Nalbandian are executive producing, while Ryan Halprin, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Andrea McCarthy Paul are serving as producers.
