The new Justice League trailer is here, and it certainly delivered plenty of new footage, including a few that stand out from the rest.

Before we get to those though, let’s hit some of the ones that didn’t make the top 5, starting with Aquaman.
Aquaman is featured heavily in the new footage, but what stands out about his time here is that he is featured more underwater than above ground. About midway through he can be seen stalking what turns out to be a Parademon, and fans get a look at the stunning CGI work of Aquaman’s home turf.
He is later seen battling the Parademon and even gets himself thrown into a large column. It seems there will be some focus on the Atlantis side of things in Justice League, giving fans a taste of what they’ll see in Aquaman’s full-on solo film.
Wonder Woman also gets some chances to shine, including a gorgeous scene that has her standing atop a statue with the city sprawling behind her. The best scene though is later on when Batman’s Batmobile is assaulted by a Parademon.
The Parademon manages to rip the windshield off of Batman’s ride, but just as it’s about to lunge at Batman he mysteriously disappears. That would be thanks to Wonder Woman, who grabbed the Parademon from the car and launched him across the street.
Sounds good right? It’s made even better by a closeup of Wonder Woman’s face, where she lets out the slightest smirk. It seems being a part of a team is a pretty cool thing after all.

Clark and Lois
The trailer kicks off with Lois in Smallville, looking out at the field. A figure can be seen standing, revealed to be Clark.
It seems thisย is sometime after his proposal, as he says “I’ll take that as a yes.” When she asks “what”, Clark responds “The ring.”
The scene then transitions to Lois in a black coat, with the ring still on her finger. She’s holding a handful of dirt in her hand and spreads it over presumably the same field.
It’s the first real footage of Clark in the trailers thus far, but it wouldn’t be the last reference towards him in the trailer.
Gordon And The Batsignal
The Bat-Signal has been around for some time in this universe, but fans never really got the chance to see it in action in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Justice League seeks to remedy that.
About midway through the trailer Commissionerย Gordon can be seen flipping a switch on the rooftop. The scene then switches to Batman’s point of view, revealing the signal in all its glory in the Gothamย sky.
That would be enough, but as the camera pans upward it reveals Batman’s slick Batwingย rising up on a platform.
It also sets up another fantastic scene later in the trailer.
Superman Monument
Superman pops up again later on, but not in human form. Instead, fans get a look at his legacy.
There are pieces of it throughout the trailer, especially revealed in the news report early on. Superman’s casket has become a place to honor their fallen hero, and a close-upย reveals what his work meant to the city of Metropolis in just a few words.
Someone wrote “If you seek his monument look around you” on his casket, which is also filled with flowers and candles. It seems Superman left behind quite a legacy, and the world isn’t ready to let go of him just yet.
Cyborg Aquaman Fastball Special
Aquamanย stands out as one of the highlights from the trailer, but there is one scene in particular that sums him up perfectly.
At one point Aquamanย can be seen drifting through the air, presumably after being hit by a Parademon. Cyborgย catches him by the arm and pulls him back, saying “The ride ain’t over yet.”
Aquamanย smiles and says “My man” as Cyborgย launches him forward, creating DC’sย own version of the Fastball Special.
Yeah, it’s awesome, and we wantย more of this team-up, please!
The Batsignal
The final scene is perhaps one of the best, gathering Wonder Woman, Batman, and The Flash together under the Bat-signal.
Thing is, they are all in normal clothes, so the secret identities thing is rather important. Flash doesn’t seem to get that memo at first though, as after seeing the Bat-signalย hit the sky he exclaims “Oh, awesome!” and points upward.
He goes even further, pointing at Bruce and saying “That’s the Bat-signal, that’s your…” He seems to get the point here, switching to a “whispering” tone and saying “Oh, shhh, sorry, that’s your signal, that means we have to go now.”
Bruce’s face of “whatย have I gotten myself into” is perfect here, replying “Yes. Yes, that’s what that means.” Diana gives Bruce an understanding look, and Bruce resigns himself to his lot in life at the moment.
It’s a great scene and bodes well for the finished product.
