Justice League continues its individual character promotions with a week that (somewhat controversially) has both Wonder Woman and Cyborg sharing the spotlight.

With Wonder Woman having just crushed records and taking her rightful place as a worldwide cultural icon, Cyborg is the character that mainstream viewers really need to get up to speed on. To further that goal, DC Films has released a new Justice League motion poster featuring Cyborg’s transformation:

As we saw (briefly) in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Cyborg was created when football star Victor Stone (Ray Fisher) suffered a mortal injury (like having most of his body destroyed), and had to be saved by his father, Dr. Silas Stone (Joe Morton), who combined one of the alien Mother Boxes with his son’s wrecked body, thereby creating Cyborg.
The problem here is that this Cyborg motion poster looks as shoddy with its Cyborg visual effects as so many other Justice League posters and promotional materials. It seems as though getting the full rendering of Cyborg’s look right is quite a challenge; fortunately, the latest Justice League trailers show that the finished version will look suitably good onscreen, if not in the marketing materials.
