Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman have all been given extensive looks in DC Extended Universe, as they’ve each had at least one movie to show off their new costumes. The Flash and Aquaman have also been talks of the town, so their outfits are pretty standard at this point as well.

Cyborg, on the other hand, hasn’t been seen nearly as much.
The new photo from Justice League, released earlier this morning, featured a great image of Cyborg, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. For the first time, fans have been able to really study Cyborg’s new look, and many have reached the same conclusion.
This Cyborg kind of looks like a Transformer. The shiny chrome plates, jagged edges, and sheer fluidity of the suit make it look a lot like the alien robots from the Michael Bay film franchise.
Why is this?
Well, there are two big reasons here.
First of all, that’s just the aesthetic of the movie industry nowadays. As technology advanced, the classic metal looks that many robots or androids possessed in comics began to seem outdated. Look at the difference in the Iron Man you see in the Avengers films, versus the Iron Man from the comics.
The sleek tone is a sign of the times.
The fluidity, however, is a result of something much different. While some will complain that it looks too much like Transformers, or technology from another big-budget sci-fi film, there really isn’t another option.
It’s alien technology, so it can’t look like it was crafted by human hands.
If you remember from Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Cyborg’s father created his suit/body using one of the motherboxes. Rather than a traditional android, Cyborg was made out of otherworldly properties.
This causes the sleek and fluid appearance of his character, and it makes total sense.
He may not look like the Cyborg you’re used to, but this is the most accurate version of the character the studio could create, while staying totally true to the universe’s continuity.
