Kevin Smith Thinks Ice Cube Would Be Amazing As A Green Lantern

While aspiring Green Lantern Tyrese Gibson has a musical career, he's not quite the music legend that Ice Cube is.

Cube, of course, also has a thriving career in Hollywood, starring in the Friday, Ride Along, and Barber Shop franchises.

And now Kevin Smith, whose characters have previously espoused their own love for Ice Cube's music, says he thinks the multi-talented star would make a great Green Lantern.

The filmmaker, who directed next week's episode of The CW's The Flash, said as much in response to a tweet from Bosslogic, who created a piece of fan art featuring Cube in the role of John Stewart, one of Earth's Green Lanterns. Stewart is rumored to be a player in at least the Green Lantern Corps movie that's coming up, if not the Justice League films as well.

Cube appeared on the soundtrack to the 1994 superhero comedy Blankman.
