Hollywood took its sweet time to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen, but the moment has finally come. This weekend, Gal Gadot charged back into theaters as Wonder Woman for the heroine’s first live-action standalone. The film, which has been universally praised by fans and critics, has made a bold statement about what the DCEU is capable of producing. And, now, one of Marvel’s critically acclaimed directors is taking a moment to pat Wonder Woman on the back.

Taking to Twitter, James Mangold turned to social media to share his love for Wonder Woman, The Logan director carved out a mention for Gadot specifically as he praised his layed performance. Here’s what Mangold had to say about Wonder Woman and Gadot’s performance:

“Savor the moment, @GalGadot. Not just box office, but creatively u delivered perf that’s universal yet personal. It could only have been u.”

Of course, Mangold is not the only director who is smitten with Wonder Woman and Gadot’s role in it. Earlier this weekend, Zack Snyder spoke for all DC diehards when he praised the film on Vero. The Justice League director posted a black-and-white photo of Gadot as Diana with the following caption: “Proud.”

Other DCEU creators have taken time to give Wonder Woman its proper due as well. Recently, James Wan took a break from directing Aquaman to gush over his love for the movie. “AQ prod rented out a whole theatre for WW & invited crew,” Wan wrote on Twitter. “What a magnificent film! @GalGadot @PattyJenks you’re an inspiration #WonderWomen”

“Oh, and Chris Pine is full of charm and charisma,” he wrote in a later tweet. “What great chemistry with @GalGadot.”

Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.

The film is produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Rebecca Roven, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with RatPac-Dune Entertainment, an Atlas Entertainment/Cruel and Unusual production, Wonder Woman.
