2017 marks Kirby‘s 25th birthday, and Nintendo unveiled a new present for the fans of the pink marshmallow at their Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation. A new 2Dplatformer, simply called Kirby, is coming for the Nintendo Switch. From the look of it, Kirby will have a heavy co-op focus. You can check out a first trailer for the new Kirby, above.

It appears as if Kirby will focus heavily on co-op, although this time with a twist. Much like Kirby’s Return to Dream Land on the Wii, this new Kirby will let you play with up to three friends, but this time they can take control of any of them game’s enemies. Simply throw a special heart item at an enemy, and they’ll become a player-controlled character who can fight at your side! You can even combine Kirby’s powers with your co-op partner’s powers, adding extra elemental effect to your attacks.

Aside from the new enemy possessing co-op (which bears a resemblance to Super Mario Odyssey‘s new hat mechanic), Kirby looks like it offer up the classic fun the series is known for. The game is as cute and colorful as you’d expect, and yes, our old pal/eternal enemy Whispy Woods is back. If you’re a Kirby fan you’re already frantically looking for ways to pre-order this one.

Can’t wait for Kirby on Nintendo Switch? Nintendo is really going all out for the little guy’s birthday, releasing three Kirby games on Nintendo 3DS this year, including Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, Kirby’s Blowout Blast, and an unnamed multiplayer action game. Perhaps that last one will get revealed during Nintendo’s Treehouse livestream. The future is looking very pink!

Kirby floats onto Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018.
