With Atom’s unexpected reveal last night, we’re already staring down the third and final Fighter Pack for Injustice 2. Three Fighter Packs were promised after launch, each offering three brand new fighters. In addition to Atom we’ve seen Hellboy, Raiden, Black Manta, Starfire, Sub-Zero, and Red Hood. Who will our last two fighters be?

With NetherRealm you never know who you’re going to get until they’re staring you in the face. We have received more than a few hints as to who might be making their way to the roster, though, and there are a few things that we can say for sure.
We can safely assume that we won’t see any more Mortal Kombat characters. Sub-Zero was an unexpected surprise, and a fairly pleasant one, but after Raiden was revealed, fans made it clear that they wanted to see DC characters in their DC hero fighting game. It wouldn’t surprise me if we found out that fan backlash was responsible for Black Lightning being included as a free premiere skin for Raiden.
We can also assume that we have at least one female character to look forward to. If you take a look at this now-worn silhouette image, you can plainly see that the figure on the far right is a woman.
So who are our most likely candidates?
Raven and Beast Boy
We’ve seen a lot of Teen Titans love in the Injustice 2 roster so far. With Cyborg, Starfire, and Robin already in the fray, we almost have the complete team. Is it possible that NetherRealm and DC are planning to go all the way and assemble all of the Titans in Injustice 2?
If you scroll back up a little and look at the silhouetted female figure, she appears to be wearing some kind of hood. Starfire also makes very clear references to Trigon during certain in-game clashes, andย there is some unique lore within the Injustice 2 canon about Raven going back to join her father.
In fact, in Starfire’s arcade ending she mentions Raven and Beast Boy almost in the same breath. Raven has rejoined Trigon, so it’s possible she comes back as an adversary, and Beast Boy, she mentions, has been missing for a long time. Missing, but not necessarily dead. There is room for both of these characters to show up.
Constantine
NetherRealm is one of the best developers in the industry because it listens to its fans. Ever since Injustice 2 launched, fans have been invading comments sections in social media and invading forums to beg Ed Boon to include Constantine in the game. There’s obviously a huge demand there, and Constantine has made a few notable crossovers from comics into the realm of pop culture.
Additionally, one of the very first multiverse events we ever played in Injustice 2 featured Constantine as a kind of side character. You never saw him or played as him, but he was a kind of off-screen fight modifier. Players would fill up a special gauge during their battles, and could trigger a magical flame attack from Constantine when they needed aid.
In this way, we can technically say that Constantine has already been in the game, and that could be a teaser too big to ignore.
Enchantress
Here we have another fan-requested character, and one that the community has been begging to see more lately. We didn’t see too many demands for Enchantress until that damned silhouette image appeared.
Many users noted that on the top of the female figure’s head you can see what appears to be the crescent tiara worn by Enchantress in Suicide Squad. This comparison image from Redditย is pretty convincing:
And speaking of the Suicide Squad, we already have Deadshot, Quinn, and Joker on the roster, so she would fit right in. Personally I’d rather see Raven, but Enchantress seems like a pretty safe bet at this point.

Spawn
In the intro I stated that we can probably discount any other Mortal Kombat characters since fans made it clear that want to see more DC heroes. Well, Spawn isn’t a DC character, but he has been teased nonstop since before Injustice 2 launched. This is one non-DC addition I think all fans are willing to forgive. Injustice 2 is a pretty dark game, and Spawn would fit right in. Canon continuity is already out the window, so what the hell?!
Plus, Ed Boon has already polled his fans, and the fans have spoken; we want to see Spawn.
It’s hard to argue with those results. Every time Boon sends out a character poll like that, the characters we want end up in the game. He sent out a poll prior to launch that Blue Beetle won, and now we can play as Blue Beetle. Sub-Zero won the Mortal Kombat poll, and he’s in the game now. Spawn won the poll pictured above, and I’m betting it’s only a matter of time until we see him revealed in a Fighter Pack 3 trailer.
What do you think?
