As mentioned earlier, there are two main aspects to the game: Player vs. Environment (PvE) and Player vs. Player (PvP). The environment within this MMORPG is incredibly fluid, always changing, and aims to challenge. It can be used to one’s advantage, while also becoming one’s downfall. Did we mention there are also dragons? Because there are definitely dragons.
Using an adaptive AI, each creature or challenge faced will adapt alongside the player. This means that though you may run into the same type of enemy twice, that doesn’t mean the challenge will also be the same. With the Player vs. Player mode, the battle is infinitely more immediate. Just like with the talk of laying siege to castles, PvP is the perfect mode for players wanting an intense challenge with the potential to unlock some amazing loot as a reward.

The caravan system within Ashes of Creation is equal parts opportunity and risk. With a title that is all about resources, transport is important but also paints a giant target for enemies. It is also possible to transport through static PvP areas, as well. This will give an opening to other players looking to take you out and gain your goods. Defend the caravan from both other players and environmental enemies, the state of the city depends on it.

Trading with neighboring cities secures alliances, increases regional value, and allows for the player to retain a substantial amount of profit. Spawning will also be available during different trading hubs, taking the player’s market on the go in order to take advantage of thriving economies elsewhere.
It is also possible to create your own goods for trade. The crafting and gathering system within Ashes of Creation is an intricate part of a successful business venture. Build plantations, smithies, elaborate farms, and more. Travel the world far and wide for rare resources in order to maintain an advantage with other traders.
Ashes of Creation does not currently have a set release date, though it is set for a December 2018 window. The MMORPG is also free to play at this time during its alpha stages for PC players.
