Earlier this season, Koei Tecmo confirmed that it was making a sequel to its hit open-world action game Attack On Titan, based on the anime franchise of the same name. Now, we have a better idea of when players will be able to test it out for themselves – and it’s as soon as next month.

The publisher has revealed that the game will be featured at the company’s booth during Paris Games Week 2017, which takes place from November 1st through the 5th – that’s only a few weeks away!
“The Attack on Titan 2 playable demo will offer players a chance to recapture the exhilaration of playing Attack on Titan via completely revamped gameplay in the franchise’s second release. The playable demo will showcase elements of the newly improved omni-directional mobility gear, allowing players to counter enhanced Titan movements, while giving a taste of thrilling all the new features ahead of the title’s launch in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and digitally on Windows PC via Steam,” the company noted in a press statement.
If you’re not attending Paris Games Week, the game will also be playable during the same dates the Lucca Comics & Games Convention in Zona San Donato, Italy.
As for when U.S. players will be able to give it a try, Koei Tecmo hasn’t disclosed that just yet. But it seems like it would be a prime candidate for an appearance at the PlayStation Experience event, which takes place in Anaheim in December. After all, the game is coming to PS4, as well as other platforms, and it seems like a good start as any to build its hype for its release next year. We’ll let you know once the publisher confirms further plans for the game.
The sequel is jam packed with action, featuring over 30 playable characters, as well as its unique “Town Life” system, which should draw fans even further into the experience of toppling giants with a few well-timed strikes.
Attack On Titan 2 releases in early 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
