It seems like Telltale Games is gearing up to reveal some more comic book-based episodic gaming goodness at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. This weekend, the studio behind The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Batman, and Guardians of the Galaxy episodic adventure games posted this tease:

Telltale doesn’t specifically mention what projects they’ll be bringing to SDCC 2017, but it’s a good bet they’ll be comic related. Of course, eager fans have uncovered clues that may point to what Telltale is working on. Scroll on down to check out the evidenceโ€ฆ

First up, Adam Harrington, the voice of Bigby Wolf in 2013’s The Wolf Among Usย series retweeted Telltale’s tease. Harrington isn’t super active on Twitter, so him making a point of sharing the tweet seems significant. Of course, Telltale likes to reuse voice actors, so Harrington being in a new Telltale game doesn’t necessarily mean The Wolf Among Us 2 is on the way.

Meanwhile, fans also noticed New Zealand’s film and rating boardย added a listing for a game called Batman: The Enemy Within. The listing doesn’t say anything about Telltale, but Kent Mudle, who’s written for Telltale’s The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones series, is listed as director. Usually Telltale games don’t use subtitles like “The Enemy Within,” but other than that, this seems like pretty clear evidence.

The Wolf Among Us is based on Vertigo’s Fables series, and followed sheriff Bigby Wolf (aka The Big Bad Wolf) as he tries to solve series of gristly murders. The Wolf Among Us is considered one of Telltale’s best series amongst hardcore fans, but the studio has remained quiet about any sort of sequel. Batman: The Telltale Seriesย launched last year, and featured an original, M-rated take on Gotham City and its inhabitants.

Of course, this isn’t necessarily an “either or” situation. Telltale is always working on several projects at once, so both new Batman and The Wolf Among Us seasons could be in the works. Or who knows? Maybe they’ve got an entirely new comic franchise up their sleeves?

Telltale hasn’t revealed exactly when they’ll be dropping their news, but San Diego Comic-Con 2017 runs from July 20 to July 23, so stay tuned!
