Xfinity has been looking for a way to provide benefits to its millions of customers, including providing access to Netflix through its cable boxes, as well as offering speedy new Internet options. But this time, it’s landed a major coup that some gamers won’t want to miss – access to the forthcoming Call of Duty: WWII Private Beta.

The company has announced that it has paired up with Activision to provide free access to the forthcoming beta, which kicks off on PlayStation 4 on August 25th and then arrives on both PS4 and Xbox One starting September 1st.
All customers need to do is visit the official Xfinity Call of Duty page between now and August 31st, and enter their Comcast account number. Once they’re verified, they’ll receive a unique access code, along with instructions on how to redeem it.
This will no doubt give the company back some popularity, as it’s taken some recent hard knocks regarding its customer service and bumping up its Internet rates following a 1TB data cap.
“We’re excited to give our Xfinity Internet customers the chance to play the latest version of the Call of Duty Multiplayer 2 months before release,” said Matt Lederer, Executive Director of Partnership Marketing at Comcast. “Our partnership with Activision is a natural extension of our esports affiliation and gives us the chance to offer our customers something really special, further positioning Xfinity as a brand whose products and services are synonymous with gaming. We are excited to work with Activision to develop content and create unique experiences for our customers.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with Comcast to deliver a meaningful experience to Call of Duty and Xfinity fans,” said Ian Trombetta, Vice President, Consumer Marketing at Activision.”With the private multiplayer beta, gamers will get a sneak peek of the exciting and intense action coming November 3rd.We thank Comcast for their support and look forward to bringing these two great brands together.”
It’s a decent goodwill gesture that will give fans the opportunity to check out the beta, although you can also gain access by pre-ordering the game.
Call of Duty: WWII releases on November 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
