With Destiny 2 having been out for over a month now, many players have successfully completed the main campaign to move onto the post-game content. This includes epic takedowns in raids, impressive strike moves, and taking part in the various other activities available to earn a little extra loot and raise that power level to that of the might. To celebrate the game’s launch and all of the players enjoying the shooter, Bungie features their Top Plays of the Week to show the good, the bad, and the hilarious. This week’s “Reel ’em in” segment sees a little happy, a little cinematic love, and a whole lot of metal.

This week is a little different than previous installments. Less focus on brutal takedowns and in-game hilarity, with more of a spotlight on the creative side of the community. Let’s dive right in!
Movie of the Week – If You’re Happy and You Know it
The pick of the week from Bungie is very similar to a previous week’s winner, which is a little odd if you think about it. The team behind the sequel must really dig making the powerful Emperor Calusย clap his hands. Pro tip: Get featured = clapping.ย
The first video comes from YouTuberย ‘Bold and Brash’ and as a warning to the grammar nazis that may be lurking, the creator does mention in the caption that he is aware of the typo and that this was just made for giggles. Check out the video below to see the Leviathan Raid boss get his jollies on with the ever smooth sounds of the “If You’re Happy and You Know it (Clap Your Hands)” song.
Honorable Mention: Aesthetic: Destiny 2 – A New Frontier
The next video parts ways from the joking nature of the community and instead melts into a creative harmony that brings on a sense of melancholy, yet a sense of peace at the same time; inspiration, yet tragic. The perfect blend of the underlying themes surrounding the narrative focus of Destiny 2′s main campaign.
This week’s runner up comes from YouTuberย ‘MisterBo’ and they had this to say about their submission:
“‘A New Frontier’ tries to tell the narrative of Destiny 2 through a cinematic approach exploring the worlds and locations through out the campaign. From the Tower being invaded and destroyed by the Cabal. Meeting Hawthorn at the Farm and reclaiming our light. Being sent out to explore the EDZ. Venturing to Titan to find Zavala. Rescuing Cayde-6 on Nessus. Locating Ikora on IO. And finally seeing earth rebuild beneath the traveler after being victorious. Hopefully this video manages to capture all of that through just the locations themselves.”
Honorable Mention: Destiny 2 – Be Brave Metal Cover “Destiny 2 OST Cover”
The final video isn’t the first time this player has been featured within the Bungieย segment. YouTuberย ‘GameCore’ has landed himself several spots throughout the week with his stunning Metal covers of the Destiny 2 OST. His amazing flair on the guitar is instantly enjoyable to listen to, especially for those Guardians that fell in love with the tracklistย for the game.
The Metal Head had this to say alongside his submission:
“A metal cover of Be Brave from the Destiny 2 soundtrack. This song plays while getting Nightstalker, Stormcaller, or Hammer Of Sol from the Shard Of The Traveller. I’ve had a blast doing Destiny 2 Metal, and have a few more Destiny 2 OST Covers in the works!”
