Far Cry 5 Introduces Your Heavily-Armed Allies In A Series Of Rebellious Trailers
Yesterday, Ubisoft pulled the curtain back on Far Cry 5, unveiling a debut trailer and plenty of [...]
Pastor Jerome Jeffries
First, we have Pastor Jerome Jeffries, who obviously isn't pleased about the false prophet who's swept into town. Father Joseph and his cult have emptied the pews in Pastor Jerome's church, and he stood back and let it happen. It seems the pastor it done turning the other cheek tough, as we discover his hollowed-out Bible hides a magnum while he suits up for war. If he can't be his congregation's shepherd, then he must be the wolf! I'm not sure the Bible endorses that course of action, but sure, okay.

Mary May
Next up, we have Mary May, who owns the local bar. Seems Mary has had it worse than almost anybody – her mother and brother were "taken" by the cult (whatever that means), and her dad didn't react well. This led to his murder at the hands of Joseph's cult, leaving the bar and a lot of sad memories with Mary. At the end of the trailer, we see Mary has been mixing up a different kind of drink – Molotov cocktails. There won't be any happy hour for any cult members at Mary's bar.

Nick Rye
Finally, we have Nick Rye, a local farmer. Nick has a baby on the way, and he wants the kid to inherit the farm, but it seems like a pipe dream with violent cultists running roughshod in Hope County. Nick's dad and grandpa were both in the Air Force, flying in World War II and (presumably) Vietnam, but Nick has only ever used his flying skills for crop dusting. Well, that's about to change. At the end of the trailer we see Nick attaching a Gatling gun to his plane for a whole different kind of crop dusting.
It's a motley crew, but they have conviction, and a whole lot of ammunition, on their side. Cultists beware!
Far Cry 5 arrives on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on February 27, 2018. You can check out WWG's coverage of the game, right here.
