Good times are ahead for Injustice 2 fans. Sub-Zero, the warrior from the Mortal Kombat series, will be joining the game next week, with Star-Fire set to debut sometime in August. But what’s coming after that? Plenty, it seems.

Hot on the heels of his tease about a new addition to the game’s Story Mode, NetherRealm Studios producer Ed Boon once again took to Twitter to leak a little more detail about the game โ€“ though it’s really kind of obvious.

He simply noted in his tweet, “San Diego ComicCon.” That’s really about it. Obviously, with its DC Comics roster included in the game, this was kind of a given, since it’s the ideal place for the game to get some major exposure. But this pretty much confirms that the team will be in attendance.

Now the real question is what it’ll reveal during the show. We were teased about that Story Mode expansion, so that’ll likely be discussed. And considering we still have a few downloadable characters to go, Boon and company may very well reveal who’s next in the line-up, although we’ve already mustered a few guesses in terms of who’s coming to the game, like the Atom and classic Mortal Kombat character Raiden. (They’re unconfirmed, though โ€“ at least, for the moment.)

Considering that it’s currently selling very well in a variety of markets, Injustice 2 should get a huge push at the event when it takes place later this month. Fans have been enjoying the content that has come out for it thus far, including last month’s debut of Red Hood and, again, Sub-Zero returning to action in a NetherRealm property outside of the usual Mortal Kombat realm. But the developer hasn’t let on just what it has planned. We’ll know more in the weeks ahead, where Boon is likely to drop a few more cryptic hints that will have fans buzzing, leading up to the eventual reveal.

In the meantime, you’ve still got a lot of fighting to enjoy in Injustice 2, so if you haven’t picked it up yet, you won’t find a better time โ€“ especially since it’s on sale.

Injustice 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
