The publisher has announced that it has released a number of tournament shaders for the game, which gives many of its characters extra glossy, golden outfits that make them look even more bad-ass than before. We’ve attached a gallery of images that feature a number of these heroes in action, as well as questions and answers straight from the company in terms of how the tournament shaders can be bought, and where they support the game.

It’s a great way to help out the community, while at the same time getting something cool for yourself! Check out the video above!

Injustice 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Community FAQ Questions Part 1

When will the Tournament Shader be available?

The Tournament Shader will be available in game for all characters on both PS4 and Xbox One platforms beginning July 31st.

How do I access the gold Tournament Shader?

The gold Tournament Shader can be accessed in game through the Customize Character screen. Select any available playable character within the menu, and then choose the Shader Selection option for that character. The Tournament Shader will be available to unlock within the Shader Selection menu, and once unlocked will be available for the specific character for which it was chosen.

Community FAQ Questions Part 2

How much does the Tournament Shader cost?

The Tournament Shader can be unlocked for 5,000 Source Crystals per character. Source Crystals can either be earned in-game, or purchased with real money through the PSN and Xbox One stores.

What happens if two players play against each other with the same character that are both using the Tournament Shader?

When two players fighting against each other both select the same character with the Tournament Shader applied, Player 2 will automatically have the silver, alternative version of the Tournament Shader applied. This ensures that each player is able to distinguish their character from their opponent’s during the match.

Community FAQ Questions Part 3

What if I want to select the silver alternative version of the Tournament Shader for a character?

The silver alternative version of the Tournament Shader can also be unlocked for 5,000 Source Crystals per character through the same steps as the gold Tournament shader.

How is the Tournament Shader connected to Injustice 2 tournaments and community events?

A portion of the proceeds will go to support Injustice 2 tournaments and community events.
