If there's anything better than fan-made creations, it's fan-made creations that give players some extra fun bonuses on actual games. Such is the case with a set of stylized Wolf Link amiibos, which look (and allegedly feel) like they're made from real wood. Not only are these little guys cute, they also give players a bonus 20 hearts for Wolf Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, making things even more exciting when players are traversing the vast world of the game.

Created by redditor BurninCoco as a project for themselves and their friends, these amiibo were printed using a material called Hatchbox Wood PLA. "The filament actually has a high percentage of wood in it and smells nice while you're printing it," BurninCoco mentioned in a comment below the post.

For those familiar with the franchise, there is already a "Wolf Link" amiibo that released for Twilight Princess and can be used with Breath of the Wild. The figure works for a number of games, actually, with different functions for each one. In Breath of the Wild, Wolf Link appears to assist his namesake hero character. Here's a summary of what he can do from the official listing:

Wolf Link is the legendary twilit beast form of the hero Link. He worked with the mysterious and mischievous imp Midna to take down an usurper to the throne, saving Hyrule and the Twilight Realm from darkness.

When players tap the Wolf Link amiibo figure to the Wii U GamePad controller, Wolf Link joins Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He helps Link by attacking enemies and hunting. Wolf Link starts with three hearts, but players can carry over their save data from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD to increase his health. Wolf Link disappears when his hearts run out.

There's a small gallery available that shows off the wolves from different angles, and we definitely want one for ourselves, primarily because it's always nice to have something around for the extra in-game boost when we need it.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
