Nintendo has confirmed that it adjusted its production roadmap according to increased consumer demand. While Nintendo projected optimistic numbers for its first year, I don’ think anyone was prepared for how quickly the Switch took off. A record launch month and a few strong showings in May, and here we are: still writing breaking headlines whenever the Switch appears in stock at Amazon or Walmart.

If you’re on the fence, keep in mind that we’re currently in a long stretch of strong first-party games releasing for the Switch. ARMS took off and wow’d critics last month, this month we’re getting Splatoon 2, Nintendo’s flagship team shooter, we still have Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Super Mario Odyssey, which are both going to make enormous splashes when they release leading up to the holiday season.

This will be a very rare chance to grab a Nintendo Switch before things get crazy leading up to the holiday season. The lineup is already looking incredible strong, and as these big first-party titles continue to launch, demand will only continue to rise.
