Falling in the 23-24 fps range, the frame-rate that Overcooked saw on the latest Nintendo console quickly became a topic of discussion among the community. Luckily, Ghost Town Games and Team17 were on the case and have since announced that the issue has been resolved.

In the latest update for the past-based cooking game, more than just the frame-rate was addressed. Overall game mechanics have been improved, glitches have been unglitched, and the HD Rumble trigger has been fixed to go off when it is meant to. The patch wasn’t huge, but it was enough and hit all of the right areas that players were asking for. Here are all of the adjustments made in the latest update:

  • General improvements to framerate across the entire game
  • Improvements to controller input
  • HD Rumble no longer activates for all players when Player 1 carries out an action
  • A crash triggered after lowering the vibration setting is fixed
  • An exploit for chopping in the single-player mode has been removed
  • An error in which worktop highlights was missing under certain circumstances is fixed
  • A bug causing the timer to cut off when switching between handheld and TV mode has been fixed

Overcooked is now available for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
