Usually you have to wait for a game to be out for a bit before it goes on sale, but recently Walmart has been taking a different approach. Walmart really wants you buy your games from them, rather than GameStop or Best Buy, so they’ve started offering some aggressive pre-order deals. If you order your games from Walmart, you can get discounts on games that aren’t even out yet, all without having to sign up for any sort of membership.
Walmart launched a new pre-order video game sale this weekend, offering deals on a variety of top upcoming titles, including Nintendo stuff. As you’re likely aware, Nintendo titles go on sale much less frequently than other games, and pre-order discounts are practically unheard of. Don’t tell Walmart that though, because they’re offering deals like 19 percent off Super Mario Odyssey and 27 percent off Pokemon Ultra Sun. Of course, Nintendo stuff isn’t the only thing on sale, with games like Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus also being discounted.
