According to an exclusive report from Variety, Hannibal Buress is set to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

While Marvel and Sony had no comment on the development, Buress' inclusion to the upcoming Spider-Man film follows a large list of casting announcements which have made fans excited for the film's release.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to star Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man who'll play the film's titular hero who hails from Queens. Maria Tomei will be reprising her role as Aunt May from Captain America: Civil War to play Peter Parker's guardian. As for the film's yet-unnamed villain, Michael Keaton has been cast to fight against the web-slinging teenager while other talent such as Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Zendaya and Tony Revolori has also signed onto the project.

Just today, Spider-Man: Homecoming also reportedly cast three newcomers Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and J.J. Totah according to an exclusive by The Hollywood Reporter. While Marvel and Sony have kept mum on who'll be playing who to protect the film's secrets, fans are already taking to the Internet to speculate which Spider-Man characters will appear in the character's newest film reboot.

Hannibal Buress, 33, is best known for his work on shows like 30 Rock and The Eric Andre Show. Most recently, Buress has been involved with Comedy Central to work on shows like Broad City and to produce an hour-long comedy special which Buress performed in Chicago back in 2014. While few of the actor's works come close to the scale in which Spider-Man: Homecoming will be shot, fans of Buress' acting and comedy skills are already buzzing about the actor's reported involvement with the film.
